This wisdom is also being followed within the MAX FRANK Group this year and so the motto is once again "donations instead of gifts". Instead of sending Christmas cards and individual Christmas presents, we are supporting numerous social organizations at our locations.
As in the previous year, a raffle was held for all employees at the Leiblfing site. This year's proceeds will be donated to the children's hospice - Haus Anna in Eichendorf. Haus ANNA in Eichendorf (district of Dingolfing/Landau) is intended to be a place of relief in everyday life for families with a seriously ill child or young person. This year, part of the proceeds will also go to Pfotenschutz Straubing und Umgebung e.V. - a small animal welfare organization in which volunteers look after abandoned and mistreated animals around the clock.
The "Too good to throw away" initiative has been running at the Leiblfing site since 2021. This year, €600 was donated to the soup kitchen in the Ursuline convent in Straubing. Up to 25 needy people are fed there three times a week. Among them are homeless people and people who have too little to cook a decent meal each month.
At the Pressig site, colleagues support people who have no families and are therefore unable to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones. 40 parcels have been lovingly wrapped and are on their way to the residents of the Geschwister-Gummi-Stiftung/ Diakonie Kulmbach residential communities in the hope of bringing a smile to the faces of the recipients at Christmas.
Colleagues in the UK are supporting Tommy's & Miriposa Trust by purchasing homemade cakes. Both charities are dedicated to supporting and guiding couples through their pregnancy journey. They also fund vital research to save the lives of newborn babies.
The above-mentioned foundation was set up at the Swedish site to collect donations for Ukraine together with customers and partners in various campaigns.
In Romania, the Christmas season is all about supporting young people. As part of a project run by the Rotary Club of Brasov, we helped to equip a technology laboratory at a school.
"Building Common Ground" is and remains the guiding principle of our actions and we will continue to support social commitments at the MAX FRANK locations.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year 2024.
Enjoy the Christmas season with your families.
