Sealing options for fibre concrete formwork ties

Find out in our video what different variants MAX FRANK offers for sealing tie holes in concrete walls.

After concreting and stripping, voids remain in the concrete wall that can be professionally closed with sealing cones and plugs made of fibre-reinforced concrete or by filling them with our special mortar.

Various sealing methods are available depending on visual, structural, weather-related or construction requirements.

Sealing variants presented in the video:

  • Sealing of fibre concrete cones
This visually sophisticated variant delivers impressive results. However, bonding must take place at temperatures above 5°C. The sealing cones are bonded with Repoxal®, which has been tried and tested for years. This system meets the requirements for sound insulation, fire protection and exposure to pressurised water.
  • Grouting with special mortar
This variant is particularly suitable for complete backfilling of fire walls with low-shrinkage mortar. Use MAX FRANK special mortar 3/25 for this purpose.
  • Fibre concrete stoppers
This specially developed variant also makes it possible to seal the clamping points at sub-zero temperatures, as no gluing is necessary here. This variant also offers an attractive appearance and can achieve a tightness of up to 5 bar water column if processed correctly. You can choose from different versions of sealing plugs.

Choose the right finish for your building project to achieve the best result.
